Will CBD Impact Your Work?

If You’re Just Using CBD For The First Time, You May Be Concerned Initially

CBD is a natural supplement that has been used for years now, and it has shown that it can be an effective method of managing anxiety without the side effects that other medications may come with. CBD also promotes calmness, which can help you focus on your work throughout the day. One thing to note about CBD is its inability to impair the user in any way, meaning you will not feel drowsy or sleepy after taking it, nor will it cause impaired motor skills as alcohol would. Let’s take a look below at how CBD works while you are at work!

How CBD Promotes Calmness During Your Workday

CBD has been used to promote calmness and focus on the task at hand. CBD affects some people similarly to anti-anxiety medicines but without any of the adverse side effects associated with them, such as sluggishness or a foggy head. Taking CBD may make the user feel calm and relaxed by affecting their body’s endocannabinoid system. This is accomplished through its natural stress-reducing qualities, such as helping to balance hormones. For example, CBD may help balance serotonin levels while limiting the influence of the stress hormone cortisol.

You Can Still Function While Taking CBD

As mentioned earlier, one benefit of using CBD during your day is its inability to impair you in any way, which will allow you to still function normally within the office. You can go about your daily routine without feeling negatively affected. The key to CBD’s unimpaired calming effects is its non-psychoactive qualities. We’ll go into what psychoactive means a bit more below.

Why CBD Doesn’t Cause A ‘High’

CBD will not cause a “high” or any feelings of an altered state. CBD is non-psychoactive, and it does not pose a risk for abuse that other compounds may come with. For instance, marijuana can alter your mood and impair memory while making you feel drowsy. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is responsible for causing psychoactive effects such as feeling high after consumption which makes it different from CBD. Because there are no psychoactive effects associated with using CBD, you do not have to worry about any adverse side effects.

A Note On Drug Testing

While CBD does not cause a high and won’t impair your work, it’s worth noting that it may still cause a false positive on a drug test. Our CBD products are all broad-spectrum, meaning they contain 0.0% THC. Depending on the drug test, any cannabinoids, even others than THC, may affect the results. We advise you to consult with your employer beforehand if you are concerned.
