Perhaps one of the most significant physical benefits you can gain from spending some time in nature is its stress-reducing ability. Outdoor activities such as walking or hiking may be just what you need for mental health. The reason being that it’s a form of exercise with many benefits, including helping clear your mind after stressful days at work, increase serotonin production, and may even help ward off Alzheimer’s disease in older adults.
